The goal of the admissions process at Darren Patterson Christian Academy to connect parents and students with a school that matches their vision for education and character development. The board, faculty, and staff of the Academy have a very specific vision for students and for an Academy education; we're looking for families and students who largely share that vision and are excited about the curriculum, programs, character training, service opportunities and discipleship that DPCA has to offer.
Perhaps as you have gotten to know our school better through a friend's recommendation, the pages of this website, or a visit to our campus, you have come to believe that DPCA would be a good fit. If that's the case, we invite you to apply for admission.
Admission for day students is as follows: 1) Completion of the application for enrollment. One form can be used per family. 2) Admissions interviews with parents, and with student for grades 7 and higher. Interviews with parents in elementary classes are often conducted over the phone; interviews for older day students will be in person. 3) Completion of assessment testing if recommended by DPCA or the previous school.
Admission for boarding students in 9th -12th grades is similar: 1) Completion of application form. Each student must complete a separate form. The application form lists other documents needed and provides a checklist for completion. 2) Admissions interview with parents and with student. Interviews may be conducted over the phone for those living at a distance. 3) Assessment testing if recommended by DPCA or the previous school.
